Shipping policy

Every Penny & Salt piece is handmade with care. This policy explains our processing and delivery arrangements for orders delivered within the United Kingdom.

Penny & Salt is operated by Hannah Penny, trading as Penny & Salt. This policy applies to purchases made through pennyandsalt.com.

1. Where we deliver

We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. We do not currently offer international delivery through our online store.

2. Processing times

Because our jewellery is handmade, the time needed to prepare an order depends on whether the item is ready to ship or is being made for you.

·  Ready-to-ship items are usually dispatched within 3-5 business days.

·  Made-to-order or custom pieces are usually dispatched within 2-4 weeks, depending on the design and our current workload.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays. If a product page states a different processing time, that product-specific timing will apply.

Processing time is the time we need to prepare your order before dispatch and is separate from the carrier's delivery time.

3. UK delivery

Orders are sent using a tracked UK delivery service. Available delivery options and charges will be shown before you place your order.

Any delivery timeframe shown at checkout or in your dispatch confirmation is an estimate unless we expressly agree a guaranteed delivery date with you.

Unless a different delivery period has been agreed with you, we will deliver your order without undue delay and in accordance with the delivery requirements that apply under UK consumer law.

4. Dispatch confirmation and tracking

We will send you a confirmation email when your order has been dispatched. Where the delivery service provides tracking, the email will include the available tracking information or a link to it.

5. Delivery delays

We do our best to meet our processing and delivery estimates, but postal or courier disruption, severe weather, peak trading periods and other circumstances outside our reasonable control can sometimes cause delays.

If we become aware of a significant delay, we will try to keep you informed. If your order is late, please contact us at contact@pennyandsalt.com so that we can investigate.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights you may have where goods are not delivered within an agreed or legally required time.

6. Delivery addresses

Please check the delivery address carefully before ordering. You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate address.

If you notice an error after ordering, contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not been dispatched, we will try to amend the address, but cannot guarantee that a change will be possible.

If an order is returned because the address you supplied was incomplete or incorrect, we may ask you to pay the reasonable additional postage cost before re-sending it. This does not apply where the error was caused by Penny & Salt or our delivery provider.

7. Lost parcels

Where Penny & Salt arranges delivery, your order remains at our risk until it is delivered into your physical possession, or to a person you have identified to receive it on your behalf.

If tracking indicates a problem, or your parcel has not arrived when reasonably expected, contact us at contact@pennyandsalt.com. We will deal with the delivery provider; you do not need to pursue them yourself. If the parcel is lost, we will provide the appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement or refund.

8. Parcels damaged in transit

If your parcel or item arrives damaged, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at contact@pennyandsalt.com and quote your order number. Photographs can help our investigation but are not a condition of your legal rights. Our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy also explains your rights for damaged, faulty, incorrect or misdescribed goods; nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
